Neem for your dog

This is Stimpy found in Sri Lanka by Mrs Barnes-Kilpatrick.  Here is Stimpy's story....

When my son Giles and I went out to Sri Lanka, Stimpy, who was in much better condition then, followed Giles around and never left his side.  When I returned months later, Stimpy had really gone downhill.  I left him in the hands of the veterinary university and gave them money to build him a shelter/cage and feed him.

When I returned again months later, he was even worse and they had barely fed him, (being a street dog they are seen as less than vermin) so Sanjeewa, my friend and I did the 6 hour round trip every day for 14 days to try and give his body (and soul) some nourishment.  It took us those 14 days, 10 hours a day going by road from Government office to Government office waiting for them to spare the time to speak to us, in order to get all the forms signed and permission for Stimpy to leave the country.

Finally, he flew into Heathrow and was taken directly to the quarantine kennels - awful to us but a 5* hotel as far as Stimpy was concerned!!  The Vets did all they could to treat his skin but the condition remained.  He became a firm favourite with the kennel staff.

My sons' partner, Katie, did all the research on neem oil and bathed Stimpy regularly in a shampoo with added neem oil.  After afew weeks his coat had improved greatly.  They went on to adopt him after he left his 6 months quarantine.

My son is now a Harbour Master and I have a feeling before very long Stimpy will be taken on as 1st Mate!!

This is Stimpy now!  What a lovely boy, fully recovered and healthy. And a lovely story...
